He is dedicated to formulating the best line of supplements using only the highest quality ingredients.”
When Jonathan asked Dr. Nuzum why turmeric is such a buzzword, Dr. Nuzum explained that turmeric has a long history as a very effective anti-inflammatory. It has been used in Oriental medicine for almost 3,000 years. It has been used in ayurvedic medicine in India for close to 5,000 years. Turmeric is one of the spices sought after for centuries by Europeans.
What Is Turmeric?
Turmeric is a plant in the ginger family. The leaves of the turmeric and ginger plants look very similar. Dr. Nuzum pointed out that the leaves of both plants are used in herbal medicine as an anti-parasitic. However, the primary interest is in the roots of both plants. Although the turmeric root and ginger root are “first cousins”, they are very different. Ginger roots are larger and thicker. Turmeric roots are orange because they contain curcumin.
Local Acute Isolated Short-Term Inflammation
Turmeric has a long history of being used as an anti-inflammatory. Local acute isolated inflammation is the body’s way of protecting and healing itself from infection, illness, or injury. Anything that is an irritation physically – foods, chemicals, stubbing a toe, a splinter, poison ivy, etc. – can cause a local acute inflammatory response.
As part of the inflammatory response, your body increases its production of white blood cells, immune cells, cytokines that help fight infection and heal the injury. These fluids cause that part of the body to swell. When the swelling presses on nerves, it causes pain which encourages you to immobilize and protect the area from further injury and to give it time to heal.
The initial swelling is helpful because it splints that area off to immobilize and protect it. If the person is healthy, the injury will heal relatively quickly and the inflammation will recede. However, if the person’s level of general inflammation is high, the swelling may never go down completely.
Chronic Systemic Long-Term Inflammation
Dr. Nuzum said that anyone who has an autoimmune condition is dealing with chronic inflammation. The swelling in their body is so extensive that the immune system has lost the ability to differentiate between who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy. So , it lashes out at anything. Dr. Nuzum gave fibromyalgia as an example of an extreme case. It’s as though the person’s whole body is swollen.
Jonathan pointed out that a lot of people are inflamed today simply by poor diet – consuming too much sugar, eating GMO foods and meats laden with antibiotics, drinking diet sodas that contain aspartame, etc. Dr. Nuzum explained that people who are on the Standard American Diet (SAD) are not only not getting sufficient nutrients, they are getting lots of pesticides, herbicides, etc.
Those toxins wreak havoc on their guts. That can lead to Leaky Gut which allows large undigested food particles, bacteria, and toxins to enter the blood stream. The result is a whole chain of events within the person’s immune system that brings about every inflammatory issue imaginable called “autoimmune disorders”. Your immune system becomes set at a Level 5 alarm. So, anything floating in your blood steam becomes targeted as a foreign invader.
Dr. Nuzum said that when patients come to see him, it’s very common for them to be taking as many as 500 or more ibuprofen tablets (an anti-inflammatory) a month to try to deal with the pain affecting several parts of their body. Everything hurts so much because they were so inflamed.
Dr. Nuzum pointed out that turmeric has become a buzzword because millions of people have discovered that turmeric can provide the same relief and allows them to reduce the amount of ibuprofen they are taking. However, the use of turmeric is not new. It has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years.
Turmeric: An Anti-Inflammatory
Dr. Nuzum explained that turmeric can be consumed on a daily basis because it has no negative side effects. In addition, it’s a good idea to take turmeric consistently because anyone who has ever had any level of inflammation will be more likely to have more inflammation. When you take turmeric, it brings that threshold down so you are less likely to get inflamed.
For this very reason, over a billion people In India take turmeric on a daily basis and have done so for thousands of years. In fact, Indian kings mandated that turmeric be incorporated into the Indian diet so turmeric would be consumed in every home every day.
Dr. Nuzum explained that it’s a basic premise of herbal medicine that hot, spicy herbs like turmeric, ginger, oregano, cayenne pepper, peppers in general, etc. dry out inflammation. In Chinese medicine, spices are used to dry out dampness – which is swelling.
Turmeric is one of the most researched plants in history for good reason because its healing properties are second to none. Just in the US, there are over 3,000 peer-reviewed studies on the effects of curcumin – the active ingredient in turmeric – as an anti-inflammatory. Clinical studies are confirming what herbal medicine has known for thousands of years – curcumin reduces inflammation!
The most recent studies show that turmeric has properties that set it apart from many other traditional herbal and medicinal plants. Its unique anti-inflammatory action has proven as effective as other medications for treating high inflammation. In fact, turmeric can aid in a whole host of conditions related to chronic inflammation.

Curcumin accounts for turmeric’s powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. However, people who take a curcumin extract absorb only about 15% of it. People who take turmeric powder also absorb about 15%. Since curcumin is only about 1% of turmeric, people who take a turmeric powder are absorbing 15% of 1%!
Problems Caused by Using Black Pepper With Turmeric
Dr. Nuzum explained that curcumin is a large molecule that cannot pass through the gut wall unaided. So, two ways are conventionally used to get more curcumin into the blood stream. One is by taking turmeric with oil or fat. For example, turmeric can be whipped up in coconut oil. Another method is taking turmeric with black pepper. Piperine, the active component of black pepper, is responsible for its pungent aroma and its flavor. Piperine is in all peppers, but there is a higher concentration of it in black pepper. Because piperine irritates the gut wall, it causes it to swell so the curcumin can get into the blood stream more easily.
The problem with taking black pepper for a long time is that although the gut wall returns to normal in a few hours, inflaming it on a regular basis could lead to leaky gut which is implicated in a wide variety of chronic illnesses. In addition, over time, piperine is a very powerful antibiotic which can destroy the beneficial bacteria in your gut microbiome. Furthermore, anyone who has gastric/stomach issues or esophageal issues, can’t consume black pepper for more than a month because it will irritate the upper part of the GI Tract.
Organixx Turmeric 3D uses a proprietary triple fermentation process to shrink the size of the curcumin molecule so it can pass easily through the gut wall without inflaming and expanding it! That delivers all the benefits of turmeric without any of the downsides associated with using black pepper.
I discovered Organixx when I read the article “Five Stunning Health Benefits of Medical Mushrooms” which links to the Organixx 7M+ mushroom supplement. When I purchased that in July 2018, Organixx sent me an email about their Turmeric 3D which purchased with the intent of taking both supplements starting September 1. However, on August 15, when I suddenly experienced the collapse of my knees, I started taking the two supplements. Within a couple of hours, my knees were fully restored and I could walk normally!!
Two days later, I ran on the treadmill at the gym and walked home (45 minutes). A few weeks later, when I forgot to take the Turmeric 3D in the morning, my knees began to “disappear” in the afternoon. That was quickly resolved when I took the Turmeric 3D that evening. Now, I take it every morning and the 7M+ in the afternoon! I believe Turmeric 3D kept me out of a wheelchair! This podcast explains why the Organixx triple fermentation process makes its Turmeric 3D so powerful and fast-acting.
Organixx Turmeric 3D: Unique Triple Fermented Supplement
Jonathan said people often ask why Organixx does not use black pepper in its Turmeric 3D supplement. He explained that using black pepper is okay on a limited basis. However, if you are going to take a turmeric supplement every day, it’s not a good idea for it to have black pepper. In addition, there are much more effective and safer ways to get the curcumin into your system.
Dr. Nuzum explained that because Turmeric 3D uses a delivery method for curcumin that is not irritating, it is appropriate for long-term use. Turmeric needs a “delivery system” to get into your body in the dosage that makes a real difference. Other supplement companies have tried to unlock turmeric’s true potential, but have always lacked that one key element to opening the vault.
Organixx’s proprietary triple fermentation method is the key to delivering the full power of turmeric safely. Turmeric 3D is the first supplement in a new classification called “fermented botanicals.” This synergistic mix of ingredients creates one of the most potent and bioavailable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds ever created. Turmeric 3D is the only triple-fermented Turmeric supplement.
Fermentation has been around for thousands of years and the health benefits of eating fermented foods are well documented. Science has shown that eating fermented foods helps maintain a healthy gut and digestive system. Fermented foods like kimchi, natto, and apple cider vinegar are powerhouses of health filled with healing enzymes that are amplified by the fermentation process itself.
While eating raw food provides many more nutrients than cooked food, fermentation delivers more nutrients than raw or cooked foods. In addition, fermented food is unique in that the process creates an entirely new set of nutrients and medically important phytocompounds that did not exist before the fermentation process.
Turmeric 3D’s Proprietary Triple Fermentation Process
Turmeric in its powdered form isn’t bio-available enough to make a difference unless you eat it at every meal, as is done in India. However, Organixx’s triple fermentation process, described below, unlocks turmeric’s full potential. Each of these steps is a HUGE departure from the simple dried powdered turmeric or turmeric drops that other supplements offer. With all three of these compounds inside each capsule, Turmeric 3D, is truly light years ahead of the rest!
Dr. Nuzum pointed out:
We worked tirelessly to create Turmeric 3D, the most powerful, synergistic turmeric supplement on the market anywhere. Our proprietary “triple fermentation” process is unlike any other manufacturing process being used to create supplements…. we decided that fermentation was the IDEAL delivery system for getting the most power out of the compounds found in Turmeric 3D.
1 – Turmeric Fermented with Turkey Tail Mushrooms
Organixx’s patent pending fermentation process takes place in their indoor nutrient farm. Turkey Tail mushrooms are a powerhouse of healing properties and are the #1 fungus for immune system support. Organixx combines the mushrooms and turmeric in a process that’s never been performed before to create a super-powerful immune support compound that takes Turmeric 3D to the next level.
2 – Turmeric Fermented with Lactobacillus Plantarum
Lactobacillus plantarum is one of the most potent probiotics in the world and been linked to healthy gut flora and healthy inflammation levels in the body. By fermenting a second strain of turmeric with this powerful probiotic, Organixx provides a highly bioavailable turmeric compound that aids in digestion and has the potential to help gut health and resolves a primary cause of chronic inflammation.
3 – Turmeric Fermented in an Aceto-Factor Mother Culture
Apple cider vinegar has been used for hundreds, if not thousands, of years for a variety of health issues including maintaining a healthy blood sugar, healthy weight, and healthy cholesterol levels. So, for its last type of fermented turmeric, Organixx fermented turmeric in an aceto-factor mother culture like the type used to create apple cider vinegar for Turmeric 3D.
Organixx’s Turmeric 3D is Unlike Any Other Supplement Available
Turmeric 3D’s Powerful Herbal Combo
So, Turmeric 3D contains fermented organic Turkey Tail mushroom extract, fermented Vitamin D3, and fermented organic turmeric. However, that’s not all. While research has shown that turmeric can help maintain healthy inflammation and oxidation levels in the body, it’s even more powerful when combined with other herbs that enhance its bioavailability.
Turmeric 3D not only has a unique delivery system, but also has THE most powerful combination of other vitamins and herbs to push Turmeric 3D over the top in terms of maximum benefit. So, Turmeric 3D also has ginger, fulvic acid, and Ashwaganda extract to help with absorption and digestion.
Turmeric 3D contains Dr. Nuzum’s special Fulvic Acid Compound that completely changes the game. Adding fulvic acid to the mix is like holding a match to a stick of dynamite! Fulvic acid has over 77 different types of minerals that are naturally formed in an “ionic” state – giving them an incredible ability to be absorbed into the body. As fulvic acid is absorbed into the body, it helps other compounds, vitamins, and minerals get into cells at a far more efficient and rapid rate.
Fulvic acid helps cell membranes become more permeable and this allows your cells to take in a lot more of Turmeric 3D’s incredible formula. Fulvic acid binds to the curcumin, shrink wraps the molecules to allow them to pass easily through the gut wall and then delivers the curcumin to the blood stream!
Dr. Nuzum explained that the humic acid in Turmeric 3D binds the curcumin to the gut wall so it is not only released quickly, but also over time in a steady stream of nutrients — a time-release effect.
See the article “Timed Release of Turmeric Stops Cancer Cell Growth.”
Turmeric 3D’s advanced delivery system ensures the bioavailability of the curcumin. That means that you are actually benefiting to the maximum degree from the turmeric without irritating your gut and destroying your gut microbiome as taking turmeric with black pepper does.
Vitamin D3: Anti-Inflammatory Benefits
Dr. Nuzum explained that Turmeric 3D includes 5,000 IU of Vitamin D3 because it has huge anti-inflammatory benefits by activating anti-inflammatory enzymes. That enhances your ability to deal with inflammation. Curcumin massively increases the amount of Vitamin D3 absorbed by your gut. In effect, curcumin opens the door for Vitamin D3 to get into your blood stream. So, adding Vitamin D3 to Turmeric 3D makes it an even more powerful anti-inflammatory supplement.
