Independence Day 5G Call: Awakening to Freedom — Blazing the Trail for Planetary Stewardship
By Jennifer Wood and Patricia Burke
What is the true meaning of Independence? For a nation, a people, a healthcare system, a doctor, a patient, or just a human being?
At the dawn of India’s Independence from the British Empire in 1947, Jawaharlal Nehru made one of the most moving speeches in all of history. The first Prime Minister’s eloquence was matched only by the powerful pause that preceded it:
“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes…but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed… finds utterance…”
The long pause before he spoke was reminiscent of the long silence of a colonized people before Independence.

Nehru called his speech: Awaken to Freedom. It came to mind this July 4th after nearly sixteen months of lockdown, and a foreboding sense that medical mandates and technological tyranny would soon encompass our whole world.
We, as global citizens, are struggling with a new form of colonialism; but a great awakening is also taking place, especially in regards to public health and the need to respect the many cultural differences, colorful shades, varied states of health and biological dispositions of all human beings on the planet.
Equality without respect for the uniqueness of every human being and every group is no equality at all. Without equal access to a healthy environment, freedom from every form of dictatorial dominance will not be possible. We no longer contend with an official entity such as the British Empire but we do contend with the Wireless Empire, the Pharmaceutical Empire, Big Tech, and numerous other global powers that seem entwined in one enormous mesh.
About twenty countries celebrate Independence day in July, including perhaps the newest nation on earth, Southern Sudan which was born on July 9, 2011; Colombia on July 20, 1810; the U.S. on July 4, 1776; and perhaps one of the oldest, the Dutch Republic on July 26, 1581.
For many, a nation is not only a country officially marked on a map; it is a group of people with similar aims. For example, the birth of a group of independent doctors, scientists, attorneys, health advocates and so on could quite rightly be called ‘the birth of a nation.’ The indigenous people of Canada are called First Nation. What was robbed from Native Americans has not been given back either in North or South America but the struggle for greater equity continues.
Today, many doctors have been robbed of their independence by a health care system that is often corporatized and essentially totalitarian, heavily based on drugs that are sometimes extremely dangerous and set in environments in which chemicals, microwave radiation and other health hazards are rampant. Insurance companies often dictate treatments in ways that hamper the good will of the doctor or surgeon.
Some, like Australian neurosurgeon, Dr. Charlie Teo have gone mostly independent. Other doctors, such as Carlos Sosa and the late Dr. William Rea became environmentally ill themselves and had to go independent in order to survive or to stay in practice. Rea, originally a thoracic surgeon, went on to build a giant, world-renowned environmental health clinic.
July 4th in the US and July 14th in France, the day of the storming of the Bastille political prison in 1789, have been celebrated as days of triumph over tyranny for many years.

We consider ourselves free and independent – but are we really, when it comes to natural freedoms such as clean air, clean water, clean soil; and freedom from petrochemical emissions, as well as nuclear and microwave radiation? Our democracies stand for liberty and justice for all, but sadly they also now stand for pollution for all. The rising curve of various chronic illnesses began to skyrocket in the mid-nineties with the rise of digital microwave radiation, and other pollutants. What good does our liberty do us if we are too sick to be free?
For decades, doctors and patients alike have been sounding alarm bells but much of their work has been crushed by industry. When global industries become so powerful that they dictate governments and the press there is no longer any such thing as “Democracy.” There is only pain and suffering.
So what is the true meaning of independence in our current times? For one, it is the soul of a body long suppressed… finally finding utterance. Ditto for a suppressed or censored group of brilliant scientists and doctors that have recently birthed a nation free of imaginary boundaries.
Global stewardship is the antidote to elitist globalism. In stewardship a balance between giving care and fostering independence is reached. In elitist globalism, dependence is created (with profit as the end motive) and care becomes domination (also with profit for the minority elite). When care becomes domination, the nightmare of poisoned water, air, soil, food, medicine, health…is never ending. The only end is a poisonous death for all humanity. This is why “Independence” today must be defined, in great part, as a body long suppressed finally finding utterance. Without our voices there will be no life. Without life there is no democracy – or much of anything else.
We are once again “at the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps.” It is our duty to “awaken to freedom,” and to act. – Jennifer Wood
Truth, Liberty, Freedom
Global stewardship does not outsource misery.
For example, “global stewardship” calculates the true costs of dumping used batteries and e-waste in impoverished nations, and mining for rare earth and conflict minerals. It recognizes the unacceptable costs in human suffering and environmental degradation.
Arthur Schopenhauer wrote, “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”
Ridicule and attack, by industry, by health care, by the media, by the technocratic elite, does not make it true.
We can de-colonize our minds from the “ridicule” operating system.
We can re-align – gratefully, humbly, truthfully – with the reality of our abundant, natural, healthy, life-supporting electromagnetic environment.
