HCQ: The Fight To Save America!

If there were a safe, proven, inexpensive drug to treat COVID-19 and save tens of thousands of lives, would America use it – or would it deny Americans access to it? If seven other countries used this treatment, who would block America’s use of this remedy that could re-open the country immediately? Why would they keep this from Americans? Why is the corporate media not telling Americans about this proven protocol? Can we take steps now to get access?

Data or Deceit? The CoVid-19 Peak Numbers reported in April that Dr. Vladimir Zelenko of New York had used Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate, Zinc, and Z-Pak to treat 699 coronavirus patients with a 100% success rate. No patients died. The cost was about $20 for five days. The video explained that this treatment with an FDA-approved drug has been known since at least 2004.

The April New York Times article Touting Virus Cure, ‘Simple country Doctor’ Becomes a Right-Wing Star explained how Dr. Zelenko’s success with his coronavirus treatment spread from a village an hour north of New York City to President Trump. It reports:

After testing this three-drug cocktail on hundreds of patients, some of whom had only mild or moderate symptoms when they arrived, Dr. Zelenko claimed that 100 percent of them had survived the virus with no hospitalizations and no need for a ventilator. “I’m seeing tremendous positive results,” he said in a March 21 video, which was addressed to President Trump and eventually posted to YouTube and Facebook.

The article points out:

Tech companies have begun cracking down on hyperbolic claims about the drugs. Last week, Twitter removed a tweet by Mr. Giuliani that said hydroxychloroquine was “100% effective” in treating Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Facebook, YouTube and Twitter this week took down a video by Mr. Bolsonaro claiming that the drug “is working in all places.” YouTube later took down Dr. Zelenko’s video, saying it violated the site’s community guidelines.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko Treats Covid-19 With Hydroxychloroquine & Zinc Is a July 2nd video interview with Dr. Zelenko. He reports that seven countries have contacted him and are using his protocol for COVID-19: Israel, Brazil, Honduras, Chile, Ukraine, Guatemala, and parts of Russia. Dr. Zelenko says that if the standard of care he is advocating were adopted in America, the economy could literally open up today!

Dr. Zelenko says the prohibition against the use of HCQ for COVID-19 is tragic and has resulted in the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. He says more people are dying from the closing of the economy than from COVID-19! COVID-19 is less dangerous than the flu to people who are young and healthy. He says we need access to HCQ in every pharmacy and doctors need to know they are free to prescribe HCQ. He explains that zinc is the bullet and HCQ is the gun because zinc cannot enter the cell on its own and needs the help of HCQ. He uses Z-Pak for secondary infections.

NYC Councilman Paul Vallone credits Hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 recovery is an August 8 article which says:

A Democratic New York City Councilman says hydroxychloroquine saved his life after a near-fatal run-in with COVID-19 in March. Paul Vallone, who represents northeast Queens, took the drug along with a standard Z-pack — given for bacterial infections — and came back from the brink almost immediately. “I couldn’t breathe, very weak, couldn’t get out of bed. My doctor prescribed it. My pharmacy had it. Took it that day and within two to three days I was able to breathe,” Vallone told The Post. “Within a week I was back on my feet.

The article adds:

“[It] saved my life,” Paul Vallone said in the comments. Hydroxychloroquine, a Malaria medication which has been on the market since 1955, came back into the spotlight this year as a potential pandemic miracle cure. President Trump has frequently touted the drug and even took it himself for a time to help ward off the virus…. “You’d be surprised at how many people are taking it, especially the frontline workers before you catch it.” Trump said in May.

Rudy Giuliani Interview of NY Doctor Vladimir Zelenko

Rudy Giuliani Interviews New York Doctor Vladimir Zelenko is a March 29 article which says:

This is an excellent interview if you seek to understand the sickness. Dr. Zelenko does an excellent pedagogic job here. And he explains how he came with his own prescription formula – with hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, and zinc. There is a high degree of infection among his Hassidic community in New York, and he treats hundreds of outpatients – which is a big novelty.

He started doing so some 10 days ago, and did his own homework to develop the protocol, while he is a family doctor and not a university researcher. Amazing! Anecdotal yet interesting: Rudi Giuliani is asking the right questions, and even taking copious notes!

Dr. Zelenko explains that he combined the protocols used in South Korea and France to develop his three-step protocol. The common denominator was HCQ. To that he added zinc and azithromycin (aka Zithromax or Z-Pak). Zinc throws a monkey wrench into the replication of the virus. However, zinc cannot get into the cells easily. HCQ creates a channel that allows the zinc to get into the cells. The Z-Pak protects against a secondary bacterial infection.

Dr. Zelenko treated hundreds of COVID-19 patients starting the week before the interview. None of them died or were put on ventilators. Three patients with pneumonia were admitted into the hospital, but he expects them to be fine. Thirty percent of his patients are from outside his immediate community because he is the only doctor using this protocol and the whole world has started calling him.

Dr. Zelenko explains that people who are young (under 60 years old) and healthy will be fine because statistically their immune systems are strong enough that it has been proven they will recover. They may be miserable for two weeks, but they will be fine. He doesn’t prescribe anything for them. However, he will treat young people who have compromised immune systems.

Dr. Zelenko will treat anyone who has shortness of breath because that’s a dangerous symptom. He prescribes 500 milligrams — one pill of zithromax a day for five days. He prescribes 200 milligrams of hydroxychloroquine twice a day for five days. That is a slightly lower dose than what is used in the ICU where in the first day, they use 400 milligrams twice a day. Then they go to 200 milligrams twice a day. He prescribes 220 milligrams of zinc once a day for five days.

Dr. Zelenko practices medicine remotely because he has some medical issues himself. He has a team of nurses and Personal Assistants who carry out his instructions.

Interview With Dr. Vladimir Zelenko: Parts 1 and 2

The July 8, 2020 Dr. Zelenko Interview – Part 1 says:

This is the first part of our interview with the esteemed Dr. Vladimir Zelenko MD out of Monroe, NY. We talk here about his treatment protocol, now known as The Zelenko Protocol, announced to the world on March 23, about the evolutions in the therapeutic approach, including regarding medications, and about personal protection for health care workers as well as about prophylaxis. Next parts of the interview will cover many additional aspects regarding early treatment, including in NY State, the US, Canada and around the world.

Dr. Zelenko says his team has seen 2,200 COVID-19 patients on an outpatient basis. Of those, only 800 were high-risk patients and were treated with medication. Low-risk patients tend to get well on their own. He defines high-risk patients as people who are over 60 years of age who have mild symptoms, people under 60 with mild symptoms and co-morbidities, and anyone who looks toxic (sick). High-risk patients typically have a 5-10% mortality rate – depending on the country. He starts those patients on medication within the first five days of symptoms if possible – before getting test results.

The Zelenko Protocol results in an 84% reduction in hospitalization and has a 99.3% survival rate for COVID-19 patients. He said he has modified his approach in the later stages of Stage 1 or the beginning of Stage 2 for patients who begin to have pulmonary complications. For those patients, he uses high-dose steroids and anti-coagulants. He has become much more aggressive in using steroids. There were two deaths. One of the patients had advanced leukemia and the other had kidney issues. Dr. Zelenko said that people in nursing homes, nurses, police, and the military should also be given preventative drugs. He said that some nursing homes in New York have a 50% mortality rate from COVID-19!

In Dr. Zelenko Interview – Part 2, Dr. Zelenko says that initially, he was the only physician providing a treatment option besides “Go home and wait until you need a respirator”. So, the entire world started calling him. One day, he had over 10,000 text messages! So, he realized that his focus needed to be on educating health care providers in different parts of the world so they could treat own communities. So, he started talking to physicians, hospital systems, and anyone who would listen – and the word got out.

It is no longer a secret that if early intervention is used in high-risk patients by giving them zinc, HCQ, and Z-Pak (an antibiotic), you can reduce hospitalization by 84% and most likely reduce death by a factor of five – if not more. The interviewer points out that there is no access to those treatments in Canada. However, in countries that use them, the death rates are much lower. Brazil got started late, but thousands and thousands of Brazilian doctors are mobilizing with protocols similar to those of Dr. Zelenko. Dr. Zelenko modestly did not point out that the president of Brazil called him and Brazil is using The Zelenko Protocol!

Interview With Dr. Vladimir Zelenko: Part 3

Dr Zelenko Interview – Part 3, posted on July 19, says that on March 23, when Governor Cuomo of New York issued an executive order preventing New York pharmacies from fulfilling prescriptions for HCQ, Dr. Zelenko’s patients had to go to other states – New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut – to get his prescriptions filled. Dr. Zelenko said there were a lot of unnecessary complications and deaths because patients could not get those medications. Dr. Zelenko was so furious that Cuomo had created an obstacle for his patients that he decided to wage war and wrote a letter to all the primary care physicians in the world. He sent a request to Cuomo to rescind the order.

Dr. Zelenko said that when Cuomo moved COVID-19 patients from hospitals to nursing homes, the result was a blood bath. Yet, President Trump had sent a military hospital ship which was on the West Side Highway with a thousand-bed capacity that was only 10% full at its peak. So, that was a real option where people could have been sent to recover. However, they were sent back to nursing homes where the most vulnerable patients were. He has friends who lost their parents and grandparents because of that decision. Dr. Zelenko says these decisions were really a crime against humanity, mass murder, genocide – thousands of people died unnecessarily.

He says to look at what the FDA has done. They gave an Emergency Use Authorization to remdesivir which can reduce the numbers of days of hospitalization by 15 to 10 – which is great. However, it costs $3,200. In contrast, his protocol reduces hospitalization by 84% – meaning an 84% reduction in the market share of remdesivir. Less than 1% will die if treated early before hospitalization.

Dr. Zelenko said you would think that science is about discovering the truth, but the scientific peer review process got corrupted. The Lancet study was used by the WHO to end its recommendations on the use of HCQ which affected many countries globally. The basis of that decision was a fraudulent study that was retracted by The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine. The studies in England were using homicidal doses of HCQ. They used enough to kill an elephant, which led to a high mortality rate. The studies were printed as proof that HCQ doesn’t work! Claims were also made that HCQ doesn’t work in the ICU setting when patients are on ventilators. The conclusion was that, therefore, HCQ can’t work in the primary care setting. Yet, the success of his protocol is obvious.

The FDA reversed the approval of HCQ in the hospital setting based on that fraudulent study! Dr. Zelenko said that it is the biggest tragedy he has witnessed in his lifetime. He feels he is living in the world of tyranny. The government is getting in between the doctor-patient relationship and is mandating the treatment patients can receive.

New York Governor Cuomo Bans Nursing Home Inquiry

Cuomo shoots down probe into nursing home coronavirus debacle is an August 10 article which says:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday shot down the idea of an independent probe into the coronavirus’ tear through New York nursing homes — while again asserting that criticism of his administration’s response is purely partisan.

State pols from both sides of the aisle have called for investigations into the conditions that led to at least 6,400 COVID-linked deaths in the facilities, including what role a March 25 mandate from Cuomo’s Department of Health barring homes from turning away coronavirus-positive patients may have played. “No, I wouldn’t do an investigation,” Cuomo flatly told reporters on a Monday conference call.

Despite the bipartisan support for a probe in Albany, the Democrat governor continued to insist that the calls for accountability are politically-motivated. “I think you’d have to be blind to think it’s not political,” he said. “Just look at where it comes from and look at the sources and look at their political affiliation and … look at what publications raise it and what media networks raise [it]. It’s kind of incredible.”

When a reporter raised the point that an independent probe could be just that — independent — Cuomo swatted down the idea as impossible. “There is no such thing as a person who is trusted by all Democrats and Republicans,” he said. “That person doesn’t exist.”

The Cuomo administration was let off the hook last month in one inquiry into the matter — conducted by the DOH. “The department of health review was then reviewed by credible industry experts, right?” Cuomo said Monday. “Well, people don’t think they’re independent experts. Yeah, I know, because nobody’s ever going to agree on who an independent expert is. “Everybody has their own expert, right? Everybody has their own opinion.”

FDA and NY Governor Cuomo Oppose HCQ

FDA warns against malaria drugs’ use for coronavirus outside of hospitals is an April article which says:

The US Food and Drug Administration on Friday cautioned against using malaria drugs hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat coronavirus patients outside of hospitals and clinical trials due to risks of serious heart rhythm problems. The agency said it was aware of increased use of the drugs through outpatient prescriptions as well as reports that they could cause abnormal heart rhythms, often in combination with the antibiotic azithromycin. “Therefore, we would like to remind health care professionals and patients of the known risks associated with both hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine,” the FDA said. “We will continue to investigate risks associated with the use of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for COVID-19 and communicate publicly when we have more information.”

The article adds:

In New York, preliminary results of a study on hydroxychloroquine showed it had no effect on critically ill coronavirus patients, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday. The study, sponsored by the Department of Health, looked at about 600 patients at 22 hospitals in the greater New York City area. Some seriously ill COVID-19 patients in the state began getting the drug — at times in combination with Zithromax, or azithromycin — earlier this month. Hydroxychloroquine also showed zero benefits for coronavirus patients in a nationwide study — and even caused more deaths among those given the drug versus those given standard care, researchers have reported. The drug proved to be no better than standard care among more than 300 male patients at Veterans Health Administration medical centers across the nation, according to a report on pre-publication server medRxiv.

It points out:

The study — backed by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Virginia — marked the largest of its kind on the controversial drug but has not been reviewed by other scientists. The decades-old drug has been touted by President Trump as a “game changer” in the fight against COVID-19 and anecdotal reports that it may provide some benefit have spurred sales of the medication. The FDA has allowed medical providers to use the drug for the illness through its emergency use authorization, but it is not approved to treat the disease.

Note: The Zelenko Protocol does not rely on HCQ alone. Dr. Zelenko recommends using HCQ with zinc sulfate and Z-Pak. He says it is zinc that is the cure and HCQ just allows the zinc to enter the cells. So, of course using just HCQ will not be as effective as the combination. In addition, Dr. Zelenko has pointed out that his protocol is most effective when used in the first five days of symptoms before a patient enters a hospital. So, using HCQ in a hospital is not proof it is not effective in an outpatient setting.

Dr. Simone Gold of America’s Frontline Doctors addressed the concerns about HCQ causing heart problems. In the video that was on their site until the site was banned, she explained that HCQ is safer than Tylenol and aspirin. She said there is no safety issue with this drug — look at the FDA database. The American Heart Association site shows there is no safety issue whatsoever. Dr. Gold says HCQ is as close to a magic bullet as she has ever seen in her 20 years of practicing as an emergency physician. Every time she has used it, patients have improved — typically within 12-24 hours. If HCQ is used early, the turnaround is dramatic!

She said everyone should do a Google search and look for articles on hydroxychloroquine before January 2020 when there was absolutely no controversy around this drug. It’s been FDA approved for 55 years.

CNN Chris Cuomo Takes HCQ Analog for COVID-19

CNN Chris Cuomo Takes Hydroxychloroquine Analog for COVID-19 is an April article which says:

Yes, you read it well. Chris Cuomo, the famous anchor of one of the news outlets the most active in denigrating hydroxychloroquine, has been revealed to himself take an hydroxychloroquine analog to overcome the coronavirus disease he contracted. The news was found in his wife’s “The Purist” blog – where she describes in details “The Corona Protocol” that she and her family use for fighting the potentially lethal disease and where there is a link towards a site where the medication is sold.

The article adds:

The hydroxychloroquine analog used by the Cuomo family is Cinchona officinalis, or quinine. One can go back 400 years ago to retrace the history of this remedy. Bark Cinchona extracts have been used to treat malaria since at least 1632…A first analog to quinine was discovered in 1934 by Hans Andersag and coworkers at the Bayer laboratories, who named it Resochin.

That’s the drug that was later named chloroquine. It was initially ignored, because it was considered too toxic for human use, yet by the 1940s, chloroquine, was recognized for its anti-malarial properties and found use among US troops fighting in the Pacific during World War II. In 1945, a modification of this compound via hydroxylation led to the development of a less toxic analog, hydroxychloroquine.

Hydroxychloroquine is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, a list of the safest and most effective medicines needed in any health system. Today, while quinine and chloroquine are still being used, it’s mostly hydroxychloroquine that is prescribed. It has been prescribed for decades, to millions of people globally. It is used not only for malaria prevention, but also for treating lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and more recently COVID-19.

So while Cinchona officinalis bark, or quinine, was mostly reserved to the popes, the cardinals, the kings and the rich and famous in the 17th century, it looks like it is making an historical come back, thanks to its usage in the “The Corona Protocol.”

Dr. Harvey Risch: Yale School of Public Health

Fox News Laura Ingraham’s Stunning Interview with Yale Professor Harvey Risch is a July 2020 article which is an interview with Harvey Risch, Professor of Epidemiology, Yale School of Public Health. It says:

Just four months ago, on March 20, the first study from IHU-Marseille showing the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine associated with azithromycin in reducing the viral load for patients was published.

Around the same time, on March 23, Dr Zev Zelenko released a letter to medical doctors from around the world about his treatment protocol, which appears to be even more effective than the one from IHU-Marseille, with the simple addition of a common Zinc supplement. Dr Zelenko’s protocol is shorter, with lower dosages than the one used by IHU-Marseille. These treatments were used in a number of countries, and their effectiveness was confirmed. Yet, in the US, Canada and a range of other industrialized countries, they became also extremely controversial, and attacked by scientists, including with the use of fake studies, by medical doctors often with ties with big pharma, and even by politicians.

While most of the academic world and the mainstream media have been highly critical of hydroxychloroquine-based treatments, there were two highly notable exceptions: Yale epidemiology professor Harvey Risch, and Fox News television host Laura Ingraham. Today, and 600,000 deaths world-wide after the revelation to the world of an effective early treatment for COVID-19, Prof Harvey Risch and Laura Ingraham have this stunning conversation, which reveals how the cheap generic drug called hydroxychloroquine became in just a few months a highly political drug.

According to Professor Risch, between 75,000 and 100,000 lives could still be saved in the US alone if the government was refraining from putting hurdles to hydroxychloroquine-based therapies and was instead actively promoting early outpatient treatment for COVID-19.

Zelenko Protocol: The Key to Defeating COVID-19

The Key to Defeating COVID-19 Already Exists. We Need to Start Using It is a July follow-up article by Dr. Risch in which he says:

As professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health, I have authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and currently hold senior positions on the editorial boards of several leading journals. I am usually accustomed to advocating for positions within the mainstream of medicine, so have been flummoxed to find that, in the midst of a crisis, I am fighting for a treatment that the data fully support but which, for reasons having nothing to do with a correct understanding of the science, has been pushed to the sidelines.

As a result, tens of thousands of patients with COVID-19 are dying unnecessarily. Fortunately, the situation can be reversed easily and quickly. I am referring, of course, to the medication hydroxychloroquine. When this inexpensive oral medication is given very early in the course of illness, before the virus has had time to multiply beyond control, it has shown to be highly effective, especially when given in combination with the antibiotics azithromycin or doxycycline and the nutritional supplement zinc.

On May 27, I published an article in the American Journal of Epidemiology (AJE) entitled, “Early Outpatient Treatment of Symptomatic, High-Risk COVID-19 Patients that Should be Ramped-Up Immediately as Key to the Pandemic Crisis.” That article, published in the world’s leading epidemiology journal, analyzed five studies, demonstrating clear-cut and significant benefits to treated patients, plus other very large studies that showed the medication safety.

Physicians who have been using these medications in the face of widespread skepticism have been truly heroic. They have done what the science shows is best for their patients, often at great personal risk. I myself know of two doctors who have saved the lives of hundreds of patients with these medications, but are now fighting state medical boards to save their licenses and reputations. The cases against them are completely without scientific merit.

Since publication of my May 27 article, seven more studies have demonstrated similar benefit. In a lengthy follow-up letter, also published by AJE, I discuss these seven studies and renew my call for the immediate early use of hydroxychloroquine in high-risk patients. These seven studies include: an additional 400 high-risk patients treated by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, with zero deaths; four studies totaling almost 500 high-risk patients treated in nursing homes and clinics across the U.S., with no deaths; a controlled trial of more than 700 high-risk patients in Brazil, with significantly reduced risk of hospitalization and two deaths among 334 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine; and another study of 398 matched patients in France, also with significantly reduced hospitalization risk. Since my letter was published, even more doctors have reported to me their completely successful use.

You Can Help Save Lives and Re-Open America Now!

Dr. Richard Urso who also spoke at the press conference of America’s First Line Doctors said:

We cannot let our patients die without treatment. And that’s the major thing that’s happened. We’ve been told to hide in our houses, wear a mask, and wait for a vaccine. That’s not a strategy. We have a strategy. Hydroxychloroquine works. Withholding it from patients is shameful.

America’s Frontline Doctors have shown that the problem we face now is not COVID-19. It is the exaggerated fear and resulting destructive policies. The courageous Frontline doctors are asking Americans to call their representatives to request that hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) be made available as an over-the-counter drug in America now – as it is in many other countries.

Leave a short message asking them to support the request of America’s Frontline Doctors to make hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) available as an over-the-counter drug so it will be easier to treat COVID-19 quickly and easily and to end this crisis that is crippling America now.
2. Email President Trump at https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ and ask him to issue an Executive Order to allow primary care doctors to prescribe HCQ for COVID-19 in outpatient settings and for pharmacies to fill the prescriptions for HCQ without fear of legal repercussions.
