Can You Pass an 8th Grade Spelling Quiz from 1904?
This is an easy to take quiz that might not be that easy. That’s because spelling was a serious subject in 1904.
Although students in the 1900s were glued to their tablets, they wrote on them repeatedly with chalk.
Corrective, squiggly underlines were made by teachers and “auto-correct” would have meant quite literally – to correct oneself.
A hard drive came from within an eager learner, not a mechanical device.
So, how do you compare to a 13-year-old in the 1900s? Take the quiz and see!
