The AMA’s Opinion on Informed Consent
In the opinion statement of the American Medical Association’s Opinion on Informed Consent, we read this rather defining statement:
The patient’s right of self-decision can be effectively exercised only if the patient possesses enough information to enable an informed choice. The patient should make his _ or her own determination about treatment. The physician’s obligation is to present the medical facts accurately to the patient or to the individual responsible for the patient’s care and to make recommendations for management in accordance with good medical practice. [1] [CJF emphasis added]
That obviously does NOT happen regarding vaccines!
Additionally, we find:
Informed consent is a basic policy in both ethics and law that physicians must honor, unless the patient is unconscious or otherwise incapable of consenting and harm from failure to treat is imminent. In special circumstances, it may be appropriate to postpone disclosure of information, (see Opinion E-8.122, “Withholding Information from Patients”). [….]

Physicians should sensitively and respectfully disclose all relevant medical information to patients. [1]
That, too, does not happen regarding vaccines adverse side effects!
However, the AMA also has additional words of wisdom in its Withholding Information from Patients, Opinion 8.082:
Withholding medical information from patients without their knowledge or consent is ethically unacceptable. Physicians should encourage patients to specify their preferences regarding communication of their medical information, preferably before the information becomes available. [….]
Moreover, physicians should honor patient requests not to be informed of certain medical information or to convey the information to a designated proxy, provided these requests appear to genuinely represent the patient’s own wishes. [….]
In all circumstances, physicians should communicate with patients sensitively and respectfully. [2]
That, too, does not happen when parents question and/or challenge vaccinations.
How does the above AMA Code of Medical Ethics apply to vaccines and vaccinations? Most, if not all, pediatricians and physicians constantly violate the very code by which they are bound professionally and morally when it comes to pharmaceutical vaccines and vaccinations!
Physicians, nurses, healthcare agencies personnel, and vaccination clinics do NOT provide individuals and parents with “enough information to enable an informed consent.” Most information provided is cursory at best and specifically that vaccines are ‘safe’. If parents knew the published adverse events, contraindications, and other risks involved in all vaccines provided by vaccine manufacturers on vaccine package inserts, I venture to say the majority would choose NOT to vaccinate either their children or themselves, or ask for delayed vaccine schedules, not 9 at one time.
A patient’s right of self-decision, legally called “the right of self-determination” [3], was sanctified in U.S. law in 1990 when Congress passed The Patient Self-Determination Act. According to Wikipedia,
The purpose of the Patient Self-Determination Act was/is to inform patients of their rights regarding decisions toward their own medical care, and ensure that these rights are communicated by the health care provider. [3]
The above was enacted to protect the elderly, terminally ill, and the dying. However, even though the act applies to PATIENT Self-Determination, it leaves a gaping void regarding other members of society along with many other medical issues unaddressed, especially during times of Inquisition-like enforcements for numerous healthcare protocols and services including, but not limited to, vaccinations.
It would seem that the AMA and other vested interests in healthcare protocols have left yawning gaps, which need to be addressed and rectified, especially since citizens are being harassed and even denied medical care by family doctors when patients or parents decide to reject certain dangerous procedures, especially questionable vaccines, which science-based medicine has not proven will not cause cancer, interfere with fertility, cause birth defects, OR produce multiple drug adverse interactions from receiving numerous vaccines at one time. Physicians obviously are not taking seriously, nor abiding by, the principal that “Informed consent is a basic policy in both ethics and law that physicians must honor.”
Furthermore, physicians who engage in such ingrained bully practices are not sensitively and respectfully disclosing all relevant medical information to patients relative to vaccines and vaccinations, which is both unethical and morally unacceptable.
A newly-published book, The Wright Stuff: From NBC to Autism Speaks, points out how two administrations, Bush and Obama, effectively scuttled improving vaccine safety:
In his book, he says that President Obama’s key adviser, Valerie Jarrett, killed a proposal to improve the safety of vaccines, so that parental fears about the link between vaccines and autism could be addressed.
The Bush administration killed a similar proposal, he says. In that case, the explanation was that “the White House was afraid of press reaction.” [4]
What does that tell you?
