Fran Drescher Calls Out GMOs and Monsanto
Teen investigative filmmaker, Andrew Demeter, scored a candid interview with actress/comedian Fran Drescher about genetically engineered foods and chemical/seed corps like Monsanto. Fran, with her signature voice and laugh, is known for starring in and writing television series like The Nanny, Happily Divorced, as well as cult-classic movies like UHF.
Looking lovelier than ever, Fran demonstrates her knowledge of GMO foods and food politics in the video below. She has ample reason to care about food and naturally supporting the body – she’s a cancer survivor. Not only did she write about her recovery journey in New York Times bestseller Cancer Schmancer, but she also writes about health topics on her web site – Cancer Schmancer.org. She has since celebrated many years free of uterine cancer.
An adamant Tweet from direct from Fran:
Fran’s take on GMO corn. In a nutshell, DONT EAT IT EVER! https://t.co/60tsJp9vYk pic.twitter.com/hExAlMlkY4
— Fran Drescher (@frandrescher) February 8, 2015
Demeter wanted Fran’s take on GMOs and their role in instigating cancer. Fran dishes the scoop on the effects of eating GMOs, GMO byproducts, corporate monopoly, greed, autism, world hunger, personal health, chemicals in the food supply and farming.
She says, “Steer clear of GMOs, is Fran’s advice.”
Andrew Demeter is a young American political activist, amateur filmmaker, entrepreneur, journalist, and author. His documentary ‘We The People, Genetically-Modified?’ won first prize in C-SPAN’s 2014 StudentCam competition. To collect the award, he visited the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. where he met and questioned former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, on matters concerning the National Security Agency’s metadata collection. He recorded the short confrontation with his mobile phone, and the video subsequently went viral online.
